General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • "Hide Author" ignored when set for an article

Hi!

I use vanilla Joomla 5.0.3 with PHP 8.0.36

I activated "Author show" globally for articles. This works.

Joomla states: "These settings apply for article layouts unless they are changed for a specific menu item or article."

I then configured "Author hide" for certain articles. This override is ignored by Joomla.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?
